Destination: Turin/Torino, Italy

Now finally! I bring you again to Italy for the second time thru my blog.  If you want to check my older post last year about Italy please see one of this LINK1 & LINK2 or you can just go to category My DestinYations.  Obviously, I like Italy (particularly Milan as my base) so much that I keep coming back for the 3rd time and soon again to my 4th this coming Summer!

I better do this and finally finish some of my travel backlogs story.  Sorry for some people who are expecting this for quite some time now as I have promised I will do it as soon as possible but you probably know as well that we sometimes cannot just produce something if not in the mood, right?  though I have the materials (photography etc.) on my log book and laptop… still we need to be in the right mood to make it happen and publish it whenever we like and able to.  As I said before, sometimes life gets in the way.

I decided to make a short 2 days tour in Turin or Torino, Italy so I get to know more of a different City.  I find this place fascinating too, as I explore every alleys of the place by just walking around the area of where my hotel is … BEST WESTERN LUXOR.

These are the places I visited and you must have a map at least just so you know where you are if you get lost.  TIP: I always go to either 1-2 streets and explore it and come back the same way as I don’t want to get lost in so many alleys like the last time I was in Milan haha!  OR take a photo of the place where you get started, you never know, you may need it to show to people going back to your hotel, there you go!

  1. Egyptian Museum / Museo Egizio – A museum dedicated solely to Egyptian Art and Culture aside from Cairo Museum. To know more here is the link of the site.
  2. Chiese di San Carlo e Santa Cristina (Twin Churches) facing Piazza San Carlo.
  3. Piazza Carignano – when you exit from Egyptian Museum.  Houses Museo Nationale del Risorgimento/ History Museum.

I came from Zürich every time I go to MILAN, Italy so I use the SBB train as per this LINK.  It’s 4 hours by train and you will get to see a lot of beautiful sights within Switzerland going to the South of the border of Italy particularly in Milan as this is my base as I have relatives there. I promised myself I will visit some of those places I have seen while on the train.  I am sure you will do the same thing.  This part of the WORLD is such a beauty that you must explore and be adventurous!

Thanks for reading and checking my site.  FOLLOW ME thru my blog living a LIFE and to my TRAVEL adventures.

  1. As always, looks fantastic. I’m currently planning a trip to Italy for probably this time next year. It’s a ways away, but that doesn’t mean I can’t start planning/dreaming…
