Less is more… indeed!

Find happiness in simple things | Picture Quotes
credit to PictureQuotes.com

I have been away from WP for a bit and though I may become busier with other things in life and other avenues of passion still saying my thought should be here in WordPress. People who reads my stories, blogs and seen my photos here have the same passion like me which is writing and letting the other people know what its like in our own world.

I came to realization that “Going back to a simpler life is not a step backward” by Yvon Chouinard. Hence, I feel much happier to have a simple life than a lavish lifestyles that I have experienced before that after awhile once the sparkles and shows faded I found myself still wanting more and in the end didn’t really make me happy longer.

Gone are the days of festivities, scrumptous buffets in an expensive hotels and restaurants, shopping spree and never ending activities that will not just exhaust your body but also your wallet. Those are considered material things in life that are unnecessary in this type of world we live in now. COVID makes me realize that there is no racial discrimination, no age group, no gender and no life superiority are safe in this world. Everybody in some ways or little (if you are lucky!) have experienced hardships and trials since the pandemic began. Economic health, emotional / mental health and relationships suffered the most. Unfortunately, those who cannot withstand it loses their lives or their control over it.

“Expect nothing and appreciate everything” anynomous.

“There is beauty in simplicity” anynomous.

“When you are happy with what you have, you are the happiest Lailah Gifty Akita

I am living the simplest life I can have now. I am happier. I wish you are too!

I say YES to life!!

As I say yes to Life, Life says yes to me. … | Louise hay quotes ...

In response to the Word of the Day Challenge YES as per this LINK.

As per the quote above… why not?  Life is too short anyway not to say yes to life!  There’s more about the world we live in that we must see and discover.  IF I didn’t say yes to a new adventure in the Middle East 5 years ago (particularly Abu Dhabi) I wouldn’t even know how beautiful this City is and other UAE cities too! Do not prejudge things, places, religions, culture, and people unless you already experienced it yourself and be open-minded. Saying yes open my eyes to these.  I will miss this place now that I have a new adventure ahead.  FOLLOW me while back living in our home country New Zealand.

Yes, I believe we will get to the new normal way of life but it doesn’t discourage me to travel step by step (don’t worry even to your nearest suburbs or cities it’s ok!) and see how lucky we are and besides didn’t we get to learn new tricks and passion while on lockdown?  C’mon, don’t be gloomy! Say YES and you will feel life will say yes to you.  Cheer up!

Journey from the past to the present.

Truly, I already started practicing what the quote is all about just late this year … 3 years later!  For sure, I am not the only one and I did try my best.

Another blogger that I am following gave me an inspiration and insight about my topic today. He gives good advises & can explain better than me about what a topic is about… his name is Drew and here is his LINKEnjoy reading!

His post about “Navigating Life” and I can’t help but to answer in my mind the questions asked in his seminar at work that he put in his blog and explained.

Here’s the thought:

  1.  The most important thing is where you are right now.  I now realized that I was focused on  the “the life I had before”  that it’s hard for me to let go and accept what are the good things staring in front of me… yes where I am right now.  I keep comparing but the reality is, it is not fair to compare “a kiwi to a date!”  if you get my meaning.  Where I am right now is with my family and hope to stay that way.
  2.  Appreciating what you have I started to see and appreciate what life has to offer for us in our current situation.  Nowhere else we will feel these “benefits” and gain more insights about the World and having an “expats (extra-ordinary) life”  if we stay put in our comfort zone.
  3.  It’s better to have plans and if one is a failure then you have many other options in place.  I often think that after we finished our journey here, that I for one, will be back in my hometown, home Country.  I guess now it’s different.  I am now open to possibility of saying… “it may not be, yet…”  OR “will see what other opportunities out there” OR  “we can always go back anytime”  as I cannot decide just for myself since having a family, it’s all for one and one for all!  Plan A, B, C’s are the best way for us to go ahead.  Life’s journey is never easy but somehow we will decide what’s best for our family one contract at a time!

I leave you with another quote and maybe some of you readers can also relate to my post.  Feel free to comment and I will truly appreciate it.  Thank You for your time.
